Trap
Trap Range (5 Ranges)
The Leetown Gun Club has six voice activated trap fields using Pat traps, including one wobble trap. Trap shooting is available to members and non-members on Sunday beginning at 12:00 noon and Thursdays beginning at 10:00, all year long.
We host at least two registered Amateur Trapshooting Association events each year. ATA membership is required to participate. In addition, we offer summer and winter league events, open to all shooters.
Summer League
Summer League takes place on Monday evenings and begins the first week of Jun. It lasts for ten weeks, with all shoots taking place at Leetown. Each participant shoots 25 targets at the 16 yard line and 25 at their handicap. Handicap yardage is based on ATA yardage or previous Summer League results. All shooters start handicap at the 20 yard line. There is an end-of-season banquet at the clubhouse during which awards are given for singles, handicap, team, and overall winners. ATA rules apply.
Winter League
The Tri-State Winter League, a series of 14 events beginning mid-October, takes place on Sundays and rotates between 7 clubs in West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, each having two events. Each participant shoots 50 targets at the 16 yard line and 50 at their handicap. Handicap yardage is based on ATA yardage or previous Winter League results. New male shooters start at the 20 yard line; women and juniors at the 19 yard line. There is an end-of-season banquet in Hagerstown during which awards are given. ATA rules apply.
